North Jeolla Province (previous)

North Jeolla Province or Jeollabuk-do in the southwest of South Korea, was formed in 1896 from the northern half of the former Jeolla province, with its capital at Jeonju, which was the capital of all of Jeolla before 1896. Its former emblem was a green and yellow octagon; its flag displayed this emblem with, in black, the name of the province, Jeollabuk-do in Korean Han'gul script.
