Eternal Rome, Italy’s capital

Piazza Quirinale

Piazza Quirinale, on the top of Quirinale Hill, the highest of Rome’s seven hills, features a 14 metre tall obelisk (once at the entrance to the mausoleum of Roman Emperor Augustus) and the Dioscuri Fountain, featuring 5.5 metre tall sculptures of Castor and Pollux as horse tamers (once at the entrance of the baths of Constantine that used to be here) and, dominating the north side, the Quirinal Palace, the palace of the President of the Republic.
