Abarth 1000 Monoposto

A Fiat Abarth 1000 Bialbero Monoposto of 1965 in the National Automobile Museum in Turin. In October 1965 the Abarth Formula 2 Monoposto, with an engine based on the Fiat 600, but with a capacity of 982 cc, broke various speed records at the Monza circuit, including 1 kilometre from standstill in 25.02 seconds with an average speed of 143.884 km/hour. Some of these records were by Carlo Abarth himself, who also successfully did record runs in a similar monoposto with a 2-litre Abarth engine.
