Abarth 1000 Record

A Fiat Abarth 1000 Record Enduro of 1960 in the National Automobile Museum in Turin. This record machine, designed by Carlo Abarth, with a streamlined body by Pininfarina, ran at the Monza circuit for 72 hours at an average speed of 186.687 km/hour, a world record. The engine was derived of that of the Fiat 600, but with a displacement of 982cc; it produced 108 bhp at 8000 rpm with a compression ratio of 11.5. Abarth set 18 International speed records at Monza.
