Trinidad, Cuba’s best-preserved colonial town

Plaza Mayor, Trinidad

Plaza Mayor, the historic centre of Trinidad, looking north, with Palacio Brunet, built in 1740, a former colonial palace, now Museo Romántico, filled with 19th-century antiques; and the tower of the Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, built in 1813 by Franciscan monks and a parish church in 1848.
