Tarabuco, the home of Yampara culture and Pujllay

Dancing with the flag

Elaborately costumed dancers, of all ages, in Tarabuco's Pujllay festival. The festival connects also with the Christian Carnival and the celebration of a battle won over the Spaniards; they wear large jangling spurs and carry the Bolivian flag.
