Bolivia's Far South West

Laguna Verde

Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), a blue-green salt lake at an altitude of 4,400 metres with the 5,930 metre high Volcan Licancabur in the background on the border with Chile in the far south western corner of Bolivia, about 50 kilometres south of Laguna Colorada. Its colour is caused by sediments, containing copper.
