Sandstone rocks, Rainbow Valley

Sandstone rocks, belonging to the Tumblagooda Sandstone, deposited during the Silurian period about 420 million years ago; in Rainbow Valley along the Mushroom Rock Nature Trail. The rock layers here probably represent several million years of sand and silt accumulation.
