A man of the Jakamarra subsection dances with a ''kurdiji'', a wooden shield painted with ''Snake dreaming'' design relevant to his clan and the song cycle followed during a ''Jarduwanpa'' ceremony in Lajamanu. The same design is painted on his chest. Women with ''kuturu'' fighting sticks are dancing behind him.
