Around “mangaya”

At a traditional “Jardiwanpa” increase ceremony Warlpiri people perform a ritual around a “mangaya”, a ceremonial effigy. The women dance with decorated wooden “kuturu” fighting sticks and one carries a ritual wooden shield.
