The Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland

Herberton War Memorial

The Herberton War Memorial was unveiled on 3 May 1922 and lists 199 men who served in the First World War, including 21 who were killed and 7 who died on service. It is topped by a typical “Digger” statue, symbolising the ANZAC spirit of loyalty, courage, youth, innocence and masculinity.
