Around Alice Springs, Central Australia

Ghost gum

The Ghost Gum is a typical sight of Central Australia. Landscapes such as these in West MacDonnell National Park have provided the inspiration for Aboriginal painters like Albert Namatjira. The Namatjira Drive, to the west of Alice Springs, is of course named after him.
