Aboriginal Dancing in the Northern Territory

Evening “Purlapa”

Warlpiri men dance a “purlapa” traditional dance at dusk in Lajamanu. They are decorated with “wamurlu”, chopped plant fibres that may be coloured red with ochre or kept white, glued on with sugar water.
