Five Heroes sculpture

The socialist-realist sculpture “5 Heroes” as it stood until 2008 in the centre of Shkodra; in 2009 it was removed and replaced by a fountain and the square where it stood, Sheshi 5 Heronjte, was renamed Sheshi Demokracia as a sign that democracy has replaced the admiration for communist heroes. In the background is the Ebu Beker Mosque.
